A membership organization in downtown Kitchener with programs, workspace and events for Waterloo Region tech companies.
Communitech has brought founders, leaders and teams together since 1997. It says more than 1,100 companies are part of its network.
Membership is for companies that build and sell their own tech products, not agencies, consultancies or service businesses. Tiers go by revenue, from Startup (under $1M) to Champion (local companies over $10M). You apply online, and the team helps you pick a tier.
Its government-funded programs are separate from membership. They are open to every eligible company in the region, member or not.

Fierce Founders: programs, funding and peer connections for women and non-binary founders
Growth Advisors: free one-on-one advice from experienced tech leaders
AI@Work: local students build an AI tool inside your company, and Communitech shares the cost of their wages
ElevateIP: help to protect and use your intellectual property, with up to $100,000 CAD of services for eligible startups
Leadership programs for new managers and senior individual contributors
Events, some open to the public and some for members only
