A coworking space in the Catalyst137 building in Kitchener, with day passes, hot desks, dedicated desks, private offices and meeting rooms.

Its building, Catalyst137, was once a Dominion Tire warehouse. Catalyst Commons opened there in November 2020 and added 75,000 square feet in fall 2024.

It is for freelancers, remote workers and companies from startup to enterprise. To try it, book a tour, or book a day pass online.

It is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and full time members have 24/7 access. Some of its events are for members only and some are open to the public.

What it offers

Day passes for $40 a day (9am to 5pm)

Hot desks: 5 or 10 days a month, or full time with 24/7 access for $429 a month

Dedicated desks with 24/7 access and lockable storage, $649 a month

Private offices starting at $1499, and team suites for larger companies

Meeting rooms and boardrooms by the hour or the day, from $35 an hour

Virtual memberships with a business address and mail pickup, from $79 a month

Free parking, coffee and tea, and phone booths. Dogs are welcome.

Catalyst Commons

CIRA, the not-for-profit that runs Canada's .CA domain registry, brings its Canadians Connected event series to Kitchener-Waterloo on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at Catalyst Commons in downtown Kitchener. The evening is built around a fireside chat on becoming your family's Home CTO. Experts who work on Canada's internet give practical advice on online privacy, scams, home devices and cybersecurity threats. Around the talk there is networking with cocktails, mocktails and light bites, and a pop-up market of local .CA businesses: Alexander Henry Coffee, Black Candle Print Co., Blowing Smoke Hot Sauce, Elle Makes, Just Simply XO, LivLush, Made of Honour Co., Malty & Hoppy Delicacy, nat's savon co, Nectar Reserve, Paper Marché, Rare Olive, Rollke, SBK Decor and Studio Syd. It starts at 6 p.m. and runs to 9 p.m. in Glasgow Hall at Catalyst Commons, 137 Glasgow St., Kitchener. It is free, parking included, and open to everyone, but you must register first. You do not need to be a CIRA member. A photographer will be there, and CIRA may use the photos.
