Connect Builderloo to your AI

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or your code editor about Waterloo Region startups, jobs, events and news. Builderloo runs an MCP server (Model Context Protocol, the way an AI assistant calls live tools). It is free and read-only, with no account or key.

Add it to your client

In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Customize, then Connectors. Press + Add, then Add custom connector.

Name it Builderloo and paste this URL:

Press Connect. The authorize step approves at once. There is no account or password.

In a chat, press +, then Connectors, and turn Builderloo on.

Works on every plan. The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it first under Organization settings, then Connectors. Connectors you add on the web also work in the Claude phone apps.

Problems?

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no account and no API key. Claude and ChatGPT run an authorize step, and it approves at once.

What can it see?

Only what this site shows the public: startups, jobs, events and news. It cannot change anything, and it gives out no personal data.

Claude says I have reached the connector limit.

The Claude Free plan allows one custom connector. Remove the one you have under Customize, then Connectors, or use a paid plan.

The tools do not show up.

Start a new chat or session after adding the server. In Claude, turn Builderloo on from + then Connectors. Check that the URL ends in /api/mcp.
