A Toronto angel network whose members invest in seed and early stage Canadian technology companies.

Maple Leaf Angels (MLA) is a not-for-profit membership organization, established in 2007, that connects Canadian startups with accredited investors. Its members invest individually, and share the group's best practices, knowledge and networks. It says its members have invested over $44 million in 102 companies.

Emily Porta is its Executive Director, and Angelo Pierro chairs its board. Its general email is info@mapleleafangels.com.

Founders apply with a free online form, and not every company that applies is invited. Those invited meet members at weekly Office Hours, a 30-minute session to get feedback and pitch for funding. A company can then pitch at a monthly investment meeting (none in summer or December), followed by a 2-hour due diligence meeting before members make their own commitments.
