A Toronto seed fund, investing since 2011, that writes initial cheques of $500K to $3M into pre-seed and seed startups across North America.
Golden Ventures is a Toronto venture capital fund that invests at the seed stage, in any sector. Matt Golden, its Founder and Managing Partner, started it in June 2011.
It invests out of Golden Ventures V, a $100M USD fund announced in February 2024, and aims for 25 to 30 core investments per fund. It says it has made over 100 investments to date.
Founders can pitch by email at info@golden.ventures, with their company, website, stage, location and deck. It recommends a warm introduction where possible, and says its process usually takes 2 to 6 weeks.
