Angel One Investor Network
Fund · Burlington · angelonenetwork.ca
A not-for-profit network of accredited angel investors, based in Burlington, whose members back early stage Canadian startups.
Angel One Investor Network is a member-based, not-for-profit group of accredited investors from across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, founded in 2011. It says its members have deployed over $35M and backed more than 175 companies. Jesse Rashotte is its Executive Director.
Each member decides on their own whether to invest, and members are expected to invest at least $25,000 a year in companies Angel One presents. It presents 20 to 30 selected companies to its members each year. Accredited investors can apply to join, and an individual membership is $1500 + HST.
Founders apply with the Company Application on Dealum, linked from its For Founders page, and can send questions to hello@angelonenetwork.ca. Each month a screening committee hears the top 6 companies and picks 2 to 4 to pitch at the members' investment meeting in the third week. Companies present in person at its Burlington office, with their deal room ready.
