The Role & Opportunity
Quantum computing and other advanced threats will render many of today’s cryptographic methods vulnerable, creating a significant transition for organizations that rely on them. Our clients – governments, financial institutions, telecoms, and critical infrastructure providers – are planning for this transition.
We help them get ahead of it.
evolutionQ is a leading, globally recognized quantum-safe cybersecurity company helping the world's most security-critical organizations prepare for the post-quantum era before it arrives.
We’re looking for a senior, enterprise-focused software and solution seller who knows how to navigate complex organizations, build long-term executive relationships, and develop opportunities in an emerging market where deal cycles are measured in quarters, not months.
This role requires a thoughtful, adaptive approach – balancing shorter-term engagement opportunities with longer-term strategic initiatives, while leveraging our partners to deliver end-to-end solutions to customers.
This is a true individual contributor role with significant autonomy, backed by deep technical expertise and a differentiated product offering in a rapidly emerging space.
Success in this role requires patience, adaptability, and a long-term view of relationship and revenue development.
What you’ll be responsible for
Pipeline & New Business
Build and manage a pipeline across telecom, cloud/hyperscalers, financial services, and critical infrastructure, with a focus on long-term opportunity development
Identify, nurture, and progress opportunities through complex sales cycles, typically 6–18 months, while developing longer-term strategic relationships and opportunities
Develop and execute strategic account plans that balance immediate opportunities with future-state engagements
Enterprise Deal Execution
Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from discovery through close
Translate complex technical solutions into clear business value
Partner closely with Sales Engineering and Product teams, as well as external parties such as network equipment manufacturers and system integrators
Lead RFP/RFI responses and develop business cases
Account Growth & Relationships
Build trusted relationships with CISOs, CTOs, and senior technical stakeholders
Land an initial foothold and systematically identify and drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration
Work with channel partners and integrators on joint opportunities
Support partner enablement where needed
Market Insight
Bring back real-time feedback on customer needs, regulatory drivers, and competitive positioning
Adapt sales strategies in response to an evolving market, helping shape both customer approach and internal go-to-market direction
What success looks like
Progression of strategic relationships and opportunities over the longer term, including opportunities that may take 18–30 months to develop
Consistent quota attainment across services and software revenue
Development of high-quality, long-term executive relationships
Expansion within key accounts over time
Strong pipeline development aligned to quota expectations and longer conversion timelines of an emerging market
Sales environment
Typical deal size: $100K – $1M+ (services and software combined)
Average sales cycle: 6–18 months, with multi-phase engagements including trial phases
Sales motion: combination of advisory/services-led entry points and longer-term software adoption
Multi-stakeholder, technical and executive buying groups
What you bring
5–10+ years in enterprise B2B sales (cybersecurity, infrastructure, or adjacent)
Proven success selling into large, complex organizations with long sales cycles
Experience closing high-value, multi-stakeholder deals
Ability to quickly build technical fluency and partner with technical teams
Strong executive presence and communication skills
Comfortable operating with autonomy in a remote, global environment
Experience operating in emerging or evolving markets, with the ability to adapt approach and messaging over time
Track record of establishing new footholds in accounts and expanding revenue from that initial win over time
Nice to have
Experience in telecom, cloud, financial services, or critical infrastructure
Exposure to cryptography, security infrastructure, or emerging security technologies
