At Verda, we're building a full-stack AI cloud, covering everything from data centers and hardware to our own cloud platform that the world's leading AI teams use to do serious AI work.

We strive to make a positive mark on the world through the infrastructure we build and give leading teams a service they can truly depend on. Headquartered in Helsinki, we operate globally with offices in London and San Francisco.

Join Verda while it’s still being built - not once it’s finished.

Why Verda

  • Cash and equity compensation along with local benefits.

  • 40+ nationalities, with 6 different ones on the management team.

  • A real chance to make an impact and work alongside world class engineers, researchers, and partners across the global AI ecosystem.

Practicalities

  • Work mode: On-site. This role requires presence in our Helsinki office 5 days per week. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone or hangry there. (We keep a stocked fridge…)

  • This role follows a rotational shift pattern to ensure 24/7 coverage for our international markets.

  • Level of expertise: Mid-level.

  • Employment type: Full-time and permanent.

About the role

As a Customer Support Specialist, you're part of our global support team. You resolve technical issues on our GPU cloud and hand over to teammates in other time zones, so customers get help around the clock.

Based at our Helsinki headquarters, you sit alongside engineering, product, and sales, so recurring issues reach the people who can fix them. You work independently on your shifts, know when to escalate, and help improve how we support customers as we scale.

Your responsibilities

  • Handle customer tickets end to end: instance access, connectivity, GPU and API issues, account and billing questions.

  • Troubleshoot independently and escalate to on-call engineering when needed.

  • Run clear handovers with teammates in other time zones at the start and end of each shift.

  • Monitor service status and communicate incidents to customers.

  • Keep internal guides up to date and flag recurring issues to product and engineering.

  • Suggest improvements to support processes and tooling based on patterns you see in tickets.

Your key competencies

The ideal candidate is a technical problem-solver who works well independently, communicates clearly in writing, and stays calm under pressure.

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical role at a cloud provider.

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Networking fundamentals for connectivity troubleshooting (SSH access, firewall and port rules, TCP/IP routing and reachability) and comfort with database queries.

  • REST API debugging.

  • Works independently and knows when to escalate.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English with technical and non-technical audiences, plus leadership and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

  • GPU, virtualization or Kubernetes knowledge.

  • Python or Bash scripting.

  • Additional language skills (e.g. Finnish, German, French, Spanish).

  • Experience with AI tools to automate support work.

  • Relevant certifications: Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS), NVIDIA-Certified Associate: AI Infrastructure and Operations (NCA-AIIO), ITIL Foundation, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
