About the event
K-Dub Hacks 2026 is a 48-hour hackathon at the Spur Innovation Center, 2240 University Ave in Waterloo, from Friday, November 27 to Sunday, November 29. Kickoff is Friday at 3:00 PM, and the weekend wraps up Sunday around 7:00 PM.
There are two competition tracks. Each track has $1,000 in cash prizes, shared among its winners, for $2,000 in total. Students, developers, designers and data scientists of every skill level are welcome. The organizers provide data sets, AI credits and docs. The venue has workspace, WiFi and food on site, so bring a laptop.
Corey Barron hosts the event, and the AWS Student Builders Group co-hosts with Abdul Aziz Hyder. The same team ran the RoadStar Hackathon, which gave away $3,000 in cash prizes. Registration is open at kdubhacks.com.
