About the event
Jill Binder's Tech Differently Conference is a one-day online conference for people in tech who think differently. We're bringing it into the room.
Come watch it live at Builders Club with kind, curious people who are thinking and building differently, and who are trying to make the world a little better with what they build.
What you'll see
- 7 speakers plus 3 special guests from 5 countries
- The main speakers come from the 6-month Tech Differently speaker accelerator
- A musicologist from Romania, a birder from Vancouver, a nonprofit founder from Nigeria, and a post-contemporary art lover from the US, each connecting their world back to tech
- Talks that range from personal, human stories to practical tools and deep technical dives. You don't need to be technical to get a lot out of it
- A mini workshop with a written exercise, done together in the room
Conference speaker Heather Gray (she/they) from Guelph, Ontario will be in attendance. Her talk: “Making a climate-friendly website, it’s not what you think.”
The plan
- 1:00 PM Doors open, socialize, grab a seat
- 1:30 PM Conference opens
- Pizza and snacks through the afternoon
- 7:15 PM Conference wraps, then hang out
Times follow the conference schedule. Come and go as you need.
Bring
- A laptop or phone if you want to join the live chat
- Something to write with, paper or digital, for the workshop
Your ticket
$25 covers your seat and food. Half of every ticket goes directly to Jill to support the conference.
