NOTE: This is a multi-day experience! Day 2 infoCool work deserves to be shared.Once a year, makers from all over gather to celebrate building things for the love of it. The underdogs, the tinkerers, the late-night experimenters, the ones who acted without waiting for permission.What began as a handful of friends in a classroom has grown into a global movement! Last year, we sold out a hockey arena to show off passion projects across art, tech, and everything in between.Now, we're taking over the entire Waterloo region.What to ExpectOur stage presentation is a chance to hear the process of how these projects were made, from the people who were unafraid to try. Topics from last year included:Fabricating computer chips from scratch in an apartmentCreating an emerging art-tech collectivePhotographing the changing landscape of a university campusConvincing the MBTA to put googly eyes on their trainsBuilding a full-body exoskeletonThis isn't a pitch event or a hackathon, it's a celebration of what happens when people take the risk to act on their dreams.The Host MindsetThe Symposium is a celebration where everyone plays a part!
